Comments from last year's camp.....
- Everything was outstanding!!
- Burney Jenkins was OUTSTANDING!!
- Burney Jenkins was OUTSTANDING!! He was right to the point about everything.
- More camp games for those who participated would have been helpful, but for a first time camp, I believe it went quite well.
- Having seasoned, recognized clinicians certainly gives it the creditability. With Bernie, Mark, Darrell, and Jimmy, this was a good start.
- 1. Quality observation and positive critique. 2. Ability to be seen and evaluated......
- Having clinicians that are from outside the region, professionals known to be at the top in their field, provides quality evaluation and input and is taken more at heart.....
- I believe the first camp attempt went very well. I was pleased with the ease of working with the clinicians and fellow officials. I must say, I was disappointed in the turn out....Seasoned officials should want to work with younger officials so they can share their knowledge and experience.
- I would like to have had more structure, it was very laid back.
- I thought the instructor from the 8th Region Assigner was very good. I learned alot from him.
- This was my first camp. It was very helpful. Thanks for setting it up. My only suggestion would be to have more evaluators from outside of our region. I know that was the plan from the start and due to some conflicts was not possible but I feel like most of our guys would be more receptive to advice from people who are outside of our region because then it may come across as "them trying to help us" rather than it coming across as "we are better than you" if that makes sense. Overall I was very happy with the camp.
- Very valuable, we all need to be on the same page with how we want to call our region.
- I find these camps helpful to me personally and the experience enhances my ability to referee.....
- Very instructive and fair camp. Staff let us know what we were doing good as well as the things that we need to work on. For less experienced officials, learning & working in a 3 man crew is beneficial for future games.
- Very well organized.
- I have always wanted summer scrimmages to be more structured.
- I have never been to a basketball camp. I have nothing to compare it to, maybe next year. However, it was very helpful.
- The last game was scheduled too late.
